The annual Literary Award Gala and First Edition Reception hold a special place in the heart of Local Event Co.
After nearly a decade partnering with the Nashville Public Library Foundation, these events have become a creative highlight each year.
The Foundation chooses an author honoree who inspires the theme, weaving their story and message throughout the weekend.
With close to 400 guests gathering in the stunning Grand Reading Room of the downtown Nashville Library for a beautifully catered dinner, and a more intimate Patrons event the night before at a local book store owned by author Ann Patchett, Parnassus Books, it’s a weekend that feels both grand and deeply personal.

Celebrate the grand opening of their Berry Hill recording studio and shine a spotlight on their joint EqualizeHer project.
A little rain didn’t stand a chance against a crowd ready to celebrate at this intimate afternoon concert and open house.
The event marked the debut of the new space, introduced the organization’s mission, and offered a fresh look at Linda Perry’s remarkable life and career, all wrapped in a vibe that was equal parts light-hearted, inspiring, intimate and unforgettable.

Love One International
Love One International is a nonprofit committed to providing life-saving medical care,
family preservation and the love of Jesus to children in Uganda. For five years, Local Event Co.’s lead designer, Lacey, has had the privilege of planning and designing their annual auction dinner and concert alongside their incredible team.
The evening features both silent and live auctions, with exciting items like trips to Africa, luxury vacations, and exclusive tour experiences hosted by Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren.
The night builds to a powerful message from Love+ One’s founder, Suzanne Mayernick, and Lauren Akins, followed by a thrilling live auction and a private concert by Thomas Rhett and friends. This event not only raises crucial funds but also shines a spotlight on the organization’s impactful work.
Frist Gala
Each year brings a new challenge
Create a luxurious and electrifying gala theme inspired by the Frist Art Museum’s current exhibit.
For this event, the focus was on Italian art and sculpture. Inspired by the hand-painted walls of ancient Italian villas, local artists transformed every inch of the Frist Gala tent into a romantic garden villa.
Lush flowers, rich velvet and brocade fabrics, and moody lighting set the scene for a luxurious evening celebrating one of Nashville’s cultural gems. Nearly 400 guests gathered to enjoy cocktails and live entertainment in the historic lobby before being guided into the breathtaking tent for dinner.

When the client has an insanely beautiful backyard garden oasis and says
We want to host a dinner party for 300 of our closest friends and invite Jason Isbell to perform,” you LEAP at the opportunity.
Striking florals, bits of metal and mirrors, a little bit of rock-n-roll set the tone for poolside cocktails before guests moved down to the moody jewel-toned dinner tent.
Guests enjoyed a slow-coursed dinner and lively conversation before the intimate concert kicked off, and special guests like EmmyLou Harris popped up from a nearby dinner table to join the incredible talent on stage for a song.
